The Sculpure Park

The Olympic Sculpture Park, created and operated by the Seattle Art Museum, is a public park with modern and contemporary sculpture. The red steel scupture is "The Eagle" by Alexander Calder, 1971. Calder is most commonly known for his hanging mobiles.

Notice that this ship is sitting low in the water. It was just filled with grain at the terminal, but did not immediately depart. At anchor here, it is waiting for something -- perhaps for crew to recover from COVID, perhaps for repairs, or perhaps for that most powerful delayer of many events -- paperwork.

The Ships Themselves

The ship in front is heavily laden with grain. It just left the terminal, and is now turning to starboard and looping around the waiting empty ship.

You can see which bulk carrier ship is loading at this moment at the Louis-Dreyfus Grain Terminal in Seattle using this link MarineTraffic.com. Hover over the ship to see it's name and country of registration. Click on the ship for many more details.
